Why we're called Vemzio
People ask if it's a typo. It's the opposite: it's the shortest way we found to say what the product does — two sides coming together, and the seam that seals the deal.
Where the name comes from
Vemzio starts in Latin. Venire — to come, to arrive. It's the verb inside convenire: to come together, to agree, to meet in the middle. That is literally what the product does — a buyer and a seller arrive at the same table, at the same number, at the same moment of trust.
The ending is ours. -zio gives the verb a name and a home, the way Italian turns motion into identity. Venire becomes Vemzio: the coming-together, as a place. A place you can claim — which is exactly what vemzio.com/yourname is.
The seam, the diamond
The logo tells the same story in one image: a diamond split in two halves by a vertical seam. The halves are the two sides of every deal. The seam is the escrow — the thing that holds while trust changes hands. When the page loads, the halves close. Every visit seals the deal.
That same mark is what you'll see next to every number on this site — it means the metric was computed at the source, not screenshotted. The seal and the logo are the same promise.
How to pronounce it
VEM-tsyo — /ˈvɛm.tsjo/. Two syllables, stress on the first, like "them" with a V and "TSYO" in one beat. Say it fast and it sounds like a deal closing. That's not an accident.
Why not a "real" word
Because the product is a category of one. A made-up name means every search for it finds us, every conversation about it spells us, and nobody's old baggage rides along. The meaning isn't in the dictionary — it's in the diamond, the seal, and the numbers that hold up. From here on, the name means what we build.
